One school, a world of cultures. With the din of a dozen dialects, how does any one voice make itself heard?
Lyrical MC lets us eavesdrop inside the classrooms and corridors of London’s secondary schools. A revealing subtext of allegiances and rivalries soon emerges, as we watch these new Britons jostle to assert their identities, and make sense of each other’s.
Created by leading theatre company Tamasha (East is East, A Fine Balance) from real life stories and characters, Lyrical MC offers a rhythmic, multi-lingual journey through a typical school day.
