Professional Development Workshops

Working with vulnerable and volatile young people
Weds 23 January, 2 - 6.30 pm

Oval House Theatre specializes in developing arts projects with and for vulnerable and volatile young people. This training will explore arts practices that address the needs of these groups of young people. This is an opportunity to develop your practice though collaborating with other practitioners in the field. Some experience necessary.

The training will be run by Stella Barnes & members of the Arts Education Team



How to become a Theatre Facilitator
Weds 30 January, 2 - 6.30pm

Oval house Theatre has a long history of supporting young artists who have wanted to become workshop tutors and theatre facilitators in their own right. This training will explore ways of planning workshops when working with young people as a drama facilitator. There will be an opportunity to look at the legal aspects of this kind of work and what qualifications are required to work in this field .You will have a chance to develop you skills and share practice with professional practitioners.
This workshop is for 18-25 year olds

The training will be run by Stella Barnes, Head of Arts in Education, & Nicholai La Barrie, Head of Youth Arts
