Diane Banks

Diane Banks is a literary and talent agent. Prior to founding Diane Banks Associates in 2006, she worked for nine years in publishing at Penguin, Hodder & Stoughton and the British Museum Press. Diane has recently completed a three year term on the committee of the Association of Authors’ Agents, which put her at the heart of wider industry issues including work with the UK and European parliaments on copyright reform.

In addition, Diane serves as a non-executive director of the liberal Conservative think tank Bright Blue. She served for 8 years (2005-2013) as a director of the Lansdowne Club, a private members' club in Mayfair. She was co-founder of the Women2Win Professional Women's Network, a forum for discussion and debate for senior professional women set up on behalf of the Conservative Party, and sat on the advisory board for Women2Win. She was a founder of the Conservative Arts and Creative Industries Network set up with Ed Vaizey and Damian Collins in 2009. Diane mentors with the House of St Barnabas Employment Academy, helping the homeless to transition into the workplace, and she founded and runs a monthly network breakfast at the Lansdowne Club focused on topics of general interest to the business community.
