Robin Priest is Chairman of the Development Board of Ovalhouse Theatre and one of the theatre’s trustees.
Robin’s involvement with Ovalhouse stemmed from Christ Church, Oxford – which founded the theatre 50 years ago, and of which he is an alumnus.
His day job is as a Managing Director of Alvarez & Marsal LLP (“A&M”), a leading restructuring advisor. He covers Europe, focused on the real estate sector.
Prior to joining A&M, Robin spent four years with Deloitte LLP where he was lead partner for Real Estate Corporate Finance in London. Before joining Deloitte in 2005, Robin set up a new property outsourcing business in the UK – Mapeley – in conjunction with Soros Real Estate Partners and Fortress Investment Group. He oversaw the growth of the business to some £1 billion in assets, 150 personnel and annual revenues of £300 million. The first 20 years of Robin’s professional career were spent as a structured finance banker in London, Sydney and Los Angeles.
He is a non-executive director of London & Associated Properties plc. He is also a member of the investment committee for a European real estate fund.
Robin earned a Master’s degree in Law from Oxford University.
He is married with two grown children and spends the balance of his spare time playing tennis, watching cricket, walking, reading and going to the theatre and cinema.
