Ovalhouse Creative Youth Summer Schools

Ignite Dance Summer School with Dancer and Choreographer Sunanda Biswas

Age: 11 – 16 years

14 AUGUST - 2 SEPTEMBER, Mon - Fri 10.30am - 5pm

In this inspiring three-week dance course you will get to explore your creativity by fusing different dance styles including street dance, hip hop and contemporary. You will work with renowned choreographer Sunanda aka SunSu. No experience necessary, just bring bags of energy and enthusiasm! Each participant will gain a Bronze Arts Award which is a nationally recognised qualification. For Diversity wannabees or those with two left feet, all abilities welcome!

All participants will perform at our Summer School Performance THE BURN on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 September. 

Sunanda aka SunSu is one of UK’s foremost B-girls and has performed, judged and hosted at some of the biggest Hip Hop and B-boy events from UK B-Boy Championships, Nike Dance Clash to Battle of the Year and B-Supreme women in Hip-Hop festival at the Southbank Centre. 

Age: 11-16 years
Price: £30 for the three weeks (£10 for residents of Hyde, Metropolitan and L&Q housing)​​​

HOW TO BOOK
There are 20 places for this course. You must be available for all the sessions and performance dates.
All welcome but priority given to residents of Hyde, Metropolitan and L&Q housing.
