“Fifteen years ago I found a book and fell in love with the words inside. It spoke to me of my future, and has stayed with me ever since. Back then, of course, I did not realise that the future had already been cancelled.”

A legendary love affair is played out during an unbearably hot summer. Many years later, this love story is remembered, and begins to take on a dangerous new life of its own.

Risking Enchantment present a work-in-progress sharing of a new theatre piece, inspired by the writing of Marguerite Duras.

Love Already is an R&D project exploring India Song, and extraordinary and anarchic 1974 play by Marguerite Duras, in the English translation by Barbara Bray.

"...beautifully universal and took the notions of 'queer work' much outside the usual pre-prescribed boundaries." Liv Morris (The Well and Badly Loved)
