Creating Theatre for Children and Young People

Join Spun Glass Theatre for a day of workshops and conversation about creating challenging, inspiring and relevant work for and with children and young people.

If you have an idea for a show you would like to develop or would like to meet others interested in making work for a young audience come along to our informal and active day of discussion and experimentation.

In the afternoon, you can choose between seeing either of the two Half Term family shows: Princess Charming or Dr Zeiffal, Dr. Zeigal and The Hippo That Can Never Be Caught! followed by a post-show discussion. 

Arrive 10am – tea/coffee and starter activities 
10.30 – panel and workshop introductions
10.45 – workshops: including School community engagement – creating meaningful creative exchanges with children; Improvisation and interactivity in family shows, how you can create performances with young people with care.
11.45 – tea and coffee break
12pm – Panelist Q and A speed dating 
12.45pm – Final group discussion
1pm Lunch
2pm & 2.30pm – See either The Hippo That Can Never Be Caught or Princess Charming
3.30pm – Post show Q&A in café with Amy Draper and Georgia – specific questions about the shows.
