Who might you meet, walking along our street?

“You think I deserve to be behind bars
Coz I’m from a country that to you is as far away as the stars?
It’s your past narrow minded mentality
That doesn’t allow me to express my sexuality."

“I bet these young kids think they’ve got it really hard;
Do their struggles amount to visible scars?”

“Peeps hated my dad then while Brixton was burning and they hate us now.
They think we’re all consumer driven, Facebook using, drug-money making cash cows.”

Have things really progressed for young people, or are we just replaying the same record to a new beat? In collaboration with award-winning playwright Rachel Delahay, Ovalhouse’s young drama group will be presenting pockets of performances devised, written and created from discussions and conversations about growing up through different generations.

This is a promenade, site-specific performance that starts from the Blue Mountain Cafe on North Cross Road and takes in local shops, cafes and other spaces and places in East Dulwich.

You can download a map with transport info at the bottom of this page.

There will be a number of tickets available to buy on the door at the start of each performance.
