Me, Myself and Wye

A Work-in-Progress Performance

Set in a world where the mind is our battlefield and one man from Coventry wages war against the system, this daring solo show discovers the forgotten humour behind being human. It’s a tale of overcoming hardship, continual self-sabotage, and how definitely NOT to find happiness.

  • Fri 20 Apr, 7:45pm

Running time: 100 mins (no interval)

Venue: Upstairs

Please note that, regrettably, the upstairs theatre is not currently accessible for wheelchair users.

Me, Myself and Wye is the audacious and provocative debut show from award-winning comedian, performer and all-round queer funny man Daniel Wye.

Brimming with hilarity, heart, and tonnes of outrageous characters, watch this Brian Blessed look-alike attempt to stage a self-made, self-performed and self-acclaimed cabaret in his desperate attempt to win your endless validation. From channelling our inner self-help guru to inhabiting the possessed puppet of an old theatrical dame, join Dan as he becomes the medium to our darkest inhibitions and exposes the demons behind our distressing relationship with self-worth.

Drawing on his experience as a young, gay man and personal history of self-sabotage, Me, Myself and Wye fuses stand-up comedy with riotous cabaret to confront issues with self-worth, mental health, sexuality and the damaging stories we tell ourselves about who we are and what we aren't capable of.

Come along and see the man who has been hailed as the new Dame Maggie Smith by Dame Judi Dench*.

*Despite numerous attempts, Dame Judi Dench was not available to comment, perhaps due to the long-standing feud she has with Dan, so we made this bit up.
